Eucalyptus Globulus is een snelgroeiende en hoge, groenblijvende boom, ook wel blauwe gomboom genoemd. De oorsprong van de Purasana Eucalyptus Globulus ligt in Portugal. De olie wordt via stoomdestillatie gewonnen uit de blauwgroene, ovale bladen.
De etherische olie van Eucalyptus Globulus heeft een frisse, scherpe, kamferachtige geur. Deze olie is gemakkelijk te combineren met andere etherische oliën.
